Exhibit Focuses on American Response to Holocaust

May 30, 2014

An exhibit featuring 12 panels with thought-provoking commentary and questions about the United States' response to the Holocaust are on display at Pollak Library South on the second floor.

The display, "Confronting the Holocaust: American Responses," is sponsored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The display was opened in May in conjunction with the national days of remembrance

Trish Campbell, Pollak Library exhibit program coordinator, said the display focuses on text rather than images.

"Though there are a few images, we hope visitors will take the opportunity to engage and reflect on the museum's prompt to "remember because we recognize the importance of preserving freedom, promoting human dignity, and confronting hate whenever and wherever it occurs,"' Campbell said.

The exhibit is on display through June 30.
