April 20, 2014
White Light Medical was recently announced the winner of this year’s CSUF Business Plan Competition.
The group, comprised of CSUF finance and accounting student Andre Conde and Johns Hopkins University biomedical engineering students Anvesh Annadanam and Luis Herrera, was awarded a $3,000 scholarship and more than $11,000 worth of in-kind services.
“We had a great diversity in the three teams that made the finals,” said John Bradley Jackson, CSUF professor of marketing and entrepreneurship and director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. “You couldn’t have more different ideas.”
White Light Medical worked to develop a low-cost, smarter pedicle probe, AccuSpine, for the accurate placement of screws in spinal fusion surgeries.
