CSUF Orange Trees Harvested

Feb. 11, 2014

About 30 Titan business students filled 82 bags of oranges from the 64 trees that flank Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo Hall.

As part of the Citrus Service Project event Feb. 1, the student-volunteers donated the bags of oranges to two local charities: Casa Teresa and Share Our Selves.

Each bag weighs between 30 and 50 pounds, said Amanda Leon, founder of the Citrus Service Project and Development Specialist for Mihaylo College.

This year marks the first annual harvest and donation for the Citrus Service Project since its initiation in 2013.

The students from CSUF’s Business Inter-Club Council and other business clubs were excited to give back to their community as they sported their Titan gear, Mihaylo sunglasses and huge smiles, said Leon.
