Long Lost Twins to Reunite

North Albany resident Elizabeth Ann Hamel always knew she had a twin sister, but it has been almost 78 years since they were separated as five-month-old tots in Aldershot, England.
Thursday in Los Angeles, Hamel and her sister, now Patricia Ann Hunt — who still lives in their hometown — will reunite for the first time since 1936.
“I’m excited and I’m happy that we’re going to meet my sister and her daughter,” Hamel said. “We have talked a few times on Skype, but this will be different.”
Their meeting was arranged and financed by Dr. Nancy Segal of the California State University, Fullerton, who is conducting a long-term study of twins and is considered a worldwide expert on the subject. Read the full article online .
