He has worked as a director and artistic administrator at such theaters as New York's Circle Repertory Theatre, Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., and Capital City Playhouse in Austin, Texas. Ramont is a CSUF alumnus who earned a B.A. in theatre arts, as well as an M.F.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He returned to his alma mater and joined the faculty in fall 2011.
