Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day

Saturday Event Features Tours, Workshops

April 7, 2014

Incoming freshmen, community college transfer students and graduate students, as well as prospective students, their families and friends, are invited to attend campus tours, information workshops and a resource fair Saturday, April 12, at Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day. The free, public event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

"Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day is always a great chance for students to learn more about the university and have access to people who can provide guidance and answer questions," said Delia Tijerina, assistant director of university outreach. "Each year, thousands of students, parents and friends visit us. It's great for the students. It's great for the parents and friends. And it's great for us to reach out to incoming students and welcome them to campus."

The program kicks off at 8 a.m. with a formal welcome in Titan Gym. From 9 a.m. to noon, attendees are invited to stroll the campus and meet with faculty and staff members from each of CSUF's eight colleges. In addition, staff from numerous divisions, centers and clubs will be on hand to answer questions or provide information.

In addition, information sessions will be held throughout the day on topics ranging from financial aid, freshman programs, student housing and more. Some workshops will be offered in Spanish.
