Constitution Day Explores Voting Rights Challenges

Whether voters should be required to show identification at the polling place is the focus of a Constitution Day panel discussion Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Campus and community members are invited to attend the free discussion from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the outdoor piazza of the student housing complex.
Presenting panel members are: Stephen J. Stambough, chair and professor of political science; Paul Peretz, professor emeritus of political science; and Neal Kelley, registrar of voters for Orange County.
At the event, attendees will have the chance to register to vote for the November election. The panel discussion is sponsored by the Division of Politics, Administration and Justice and the Office of Government and Community Relations.
On-campus parking is $8 for the day, or $2 per hour in select locations. Details are available online .
