Fulmer Receives Dissertation Award

Bachman P. Fulmer, assistant professor of accounting at Cal State Fullerton, has been honored by the American Accounting Association.
The scholar is one of two recipients of this year's AAA/Grant Thornton Doctoral Dissertation Awards for Innovation in Accounting Education. Fulmer was recognized for "Attention and Effort in an Investment Decision Under Influence of Gains and Losses." The $5,000 award was presented at the organization's Aug. 6 meeting in Atlanta.
Fulmer earned his doctorate in accounting from Florida State University, where he also completed an MBA. He has served as a senior internal auditor with Gerdau Ameristeel and also worked for Ernst & Young LLP.
