Tucker Offers Family Nature Programs

Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting family programs "Critter Scene Investigations" Saturday, Aug. 23 and "Wild Nights! A Journey Through Night and Nature" Saturday, Sept. 13.

Learn about native animals and the signs they leave behind at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary's Saturday, Aug. 23, family program "Critter Scene Investigations." During the 10 a.m.-noon program, naturalist Mark Mendez will discuss how to identify animals by their tracks, scat and other signs.

Mendez also will present "Wild Nights! A Journey Through Night and Nature" from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, about nocturnal animals and what they do at night.

Both programs are recommended for children ages 8 and older. Cost is $5 per person per program. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 714-649-2760.

Coming up: Saturday, Oct. 18 — "Bat Night."
