Seasons of Giving
Dec. 4, 2015
Members of the campus community are spreading the holiday spirit with donations and volunteer service this holiday season. Some examples:
Join the WoMen’s and Adult Reentry Center and Sistertalk in providing holiday cheer to disadvantaged children through a giving tree located in Room 205 of University Hall. Stop by, pick a star representing a child and bring an unwrapped gift. Deadline for donations is Monday, Dec. 14. For more information, call 657-278-3928.
Students and staff members from the After School Education and Safety Program, part of the Center for Internships and Community Engagement, are collecting toys for children in an effort with the charity Santa's Siren Express in the cities of Garden Grove, Westminster and Stanton. Donations to the cause may be made to Room 206 of Langsdorf Hall through Dec. 14. Members of the program, along with members of local police and fire departments and other community groups, will be distributing the gifts during community events Sunday, Dec, 20.
