Job Growth to Slow in County

Cal State Fullerton economists offered an advance look at today’s economic forecast report, in The Orange County Register. Job growth in 2015 isn’t likely to continue in 2016 and 2017, said the report’s authors Anil Puri, dean of Mihaylo College of Business and Economics and Mira Farka, associate professor of economics. 

“It has been a spectacular year for job growth,” said Puri. “Faster than we expected.”

However the pair foresee a payroll growth slowing to 2.5 percent next year with only 37,700 new jobs, despite a population increase. Continue reading.
