Voices of Islam in California

Jason Sexton, a lecturer in the honors program at Cal State Fullerton and visiting fellow at UC Riverside’s Center for Ideas and Society, recently edited three articles on the Muslim community in California, for “Boom: A Journal of California.” The articles are a collection about the individuals' diverse backgrounds, daily lives, education, religious beliefs and practices.

The triptych posted on KCET.org offers an advance, online opportunity to read the articles destined for a print edition “as a contribution to deepening our understanding of each other in the midst of a powerfully important, sometimes troubling, and moving conversation in our state, our nation and our world.”
