University Opens Startup Business Incubator in Placentia
April 15, 2015
Cal State Fullerton's Center for Entrepreneurship will hold an April 29 open house at the CSUF Startup Incubator in Placentia. Located in a 900-square-foot facility at 120 S. Bradford Ave., the incubator is "an extension of what we do in the classroom," said John Bradley Jackson, center director. "The goal is to commercialize resident startups within 180 days by aggressively challenging them to 'succeed quickly or fail fast.'"
As part of residency, residents are offered assistance for business model validation, customer identification, formation as a legal entity, business plan revision and determination of necessary funding. The 6-8 p.m. program will be an opportunity for campus and community members to meet the residents, network and learn more about the center.
