Recent Activity in Student Research, Business Development and Graduate Honors


On May 1-2, 10 Cal State Fullerton students competed in the 29th annual California State University Student Research Competition at Cal State San Bernardino.

The Titans were up against 260 students, both undergraduate and graduate, from 22 Cal State universities. First place winners won $500 and those finishing in second place won $250. Top finishers included:

• Kyle Hess, first place, undergraduate biological and agricultural sciences category

• Brenna Biggs, second place, undergraduate physical and mathematical sciences category

• April Nakagawa, second place, graduate behavior and social sciences category

A $2.2 million U.S. Small Business Administration contract has been granted to Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.

Mihaylo College was awarded the money to continue overseeing the SBA’s regional small business development network, which serves Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Continue reading.
