Titans Manage the Desert Studies Center on the Edge of the Mojave

Cal State Fullerton serves as the administrative campus of theOn the northwestern edge of the Mojave National Preserve, adjacent to I-15, sits the California State University Desert Studies Center.
The nearly 40-year-old center is part of a consortium made up of seven Southern California CSU campuses: Dominguez Hills, Fullerton, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Northridge, Pomona and San Bernardino.
DSC; it is specifically run by the university’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
William Presch. professor of zoology at in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, leads the team managing the CSU Desert Studies Center on the northwest edge of the Mohave desert.
“At the center, our main focus is on students and on student activity,” said Presch, who has been director of the site since 1994. “The experience promises them the opportunity to see the desert and be instructed about it by people who really know the subjects.” Continue reading.
