CSUF equestrian club team president excels in competitions

Riding horses isn't just a hobby to Danielle Forester; it's the source of her drive. It's the motivation she needs to train rigorously week after week. It's the activity she wakes up every morning excited for. It's the last thing she thinks about before going to sleep every night.

"I eat, sleep, breathe animals, that's just how it is," said Forester, a senior this fall at Cal State Fullerton. "When you get involved in something like that, it consumes you in a good way and it teaches you how to care for something else."

The Carlsbad native devotes hours not just to riding, but tending to horses. She feeds them, grooms them, bathes them, takes care of their injuries. This isn't a burden for Forester; it's a responsibility she embraces and a discipline she craves.

This fall Forester will serve as the president of Cal State Fullerton's equestrian team, a club sport on campus in operation since 2003.
