Isaac Salazar has served as Cal State Fullerton's director of strength and conditioning since February 2012. He works with all Titan sports teams, even traveling with the baseball team during its College World Series run in June.
Baseball was a passion all his life, and he played for Vanguard University in Costa Mesa from 2002 to 2006. Originally interested in pursuing physical therapy, he switched to the strength and conditioning route once he realized he enjoyed the relationship between sport and performance and wanted to dedicate himself to helping athletes reach peak performance.
Salazar earned his master's degree in kinesiology (performance enhancement emphasis) at Cal State Fullerton in 2009, serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Titans and working with multiple teams in various sports from 2007-09. Continue reading.
