CSUF University Singers perform with Andrea Bocelli

If you were nestled in one of the stadium seats at the Hollywood Bowl on June 7, your ears would have welcomed the melodious notes of Cal State Fullerton's University Singers, and select members of CSUF's Concert Choir, accompanying the famed voice of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.
CSUF's singers performed seven songs, about half of the concert, all musically difficult. They were in French, Italian and Spanish.
Jason Pano, a 29-year-old choral conducting student from San Jose working on his master degree, appreciated the diversity of the night's audience.
As classical musicians, CSUF's University Singers are familiar with a more specific audience. But at the Hollywood Bowl performance with Bocelli, "people who may not have normally heard opera before are getting the opportunity to hear it," Pano said. Continue reading.
