Watercolors Showcase ‘Arboretum in Bloom’

Share This:

Watercolors created by Cal State Fullerton students and inspired by the Fullerton Arboretum’s landscape will be exhibited April 16 through May 22 in the Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum located on the grounds of the botanical garden.

The artwork is a result of a collaboration with Lawrence Yun, professor of art, and the University’s Art Department. Each semester, Yun brings his watercolor class to the garden to draw inspiration from the various plant collections.

Also on display is “Seeds: Nature’s Artful Engineering.” The exhibition, which features detailed photographs portraying seed structures and dispersal mechanisms of native plants, continues through May 1.

The exhibit is open noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated. Additional information is available online or by calling 657-278-4010.
