Where Future Newscasters Are Made

Univision 34-Los Angeles’ anchor and reporter Francisco Ugalde visited Cal State Fullerton’s Spanish newscast “Al Día,” where he interviewed communications-journalism major Roxana Paul, the news show’s executive producer, as well as other bilingual students who work as editors, anchors and reporters on the news program, gaining valuable experience for careers in Spanish-language television.

“In a few years, you might see them on television or as a member of a news program,” explained Ugalde.

“Al Día” currently reaches more than 100,000 Time Warner Cable subscribers and also is available on YouTube.

The Univision segment is available in Spanish.
