Faculty Presentations Coming Up

Two upcoming faculty presentations will be made at the Fullerton Public Library. Both programs will be held from 7-9 p.m.

Tyler Parry, assistant professor of African American studies, will discuss the history of canine units in the United States, from their roots in slave systems in the Caribbean, in “To Run Before the Dogs” Feb. 23.

Alexandro Gradilla, chair and associate professor of Chicana and Chicano studies, will lead a discussion following the March 31 screening of episode five of the PBS documentary “Latino Americans: 500 Years of History.”

Also coming up in March: Jennifer Piazza, assistant professor of health science, delivers “Implementing Service Learning in Gerontology-Related Courses: A Hybrid Approach” at the 42nd annual meeting and education leadership conference of the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education. The conference will be held in Long Beach.
