Local Startups to Get Boost From CSUF’s New Business Incubator

The Center for Entrepreneurship opened a startup incubator in Irvine, joining a 2-year-old smaller one in Placentia. The new facility on the CSUF Irvine Campus houses space to provide coaching to entrepreneurs, host seminars and bring in experts — including lawyers, CPAs, marketers and professors — to hold office hours.
The new, 1,200-square-foot incubator will choose local entrepreneurs for a six-month residency. Criteria include: a talented founder or founders, preferably with industry experience; a viable business model; a competitive advantage; potential for scaling and fast growth; and a CSUF affiliation, such as current student, alum or family connection.
