Bat Night at CSUF’s Tucker Sanctuary Gets Kids in the Halloween Spirit

Over 25 bat species live in California, and on Oct. 21, professor Paul Stapp aimed to rid bats of their stigma by hosting a program where families could attend and learn about the spooky creatures.

The annual event at CSUF’s Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary offered crafts and games free of charge, as well as other features like face painting and pumpkin carving. The raffle proceeds benefit Tucker’s grade school education program intended to educate children about wildlife and the outdoors.
