CSUF Student Volunteers Bring Medical Help to Mexican Town

Flying Samaritans at CSUF is a nonprofit student run organization that provides free medical care to the small rural community of El Hongo, Mexico. Most of their patients are from a low socioeconomic status and their clinic provides access to free health care in the region.

At the clinic, they provide general check-ups, vitamins, medications and donations; in addition to optometry and dental services to the community in Mexico. On a normal trip, they’ll see close to 100 patients and also have roughly 500 patients on file. In addition to their clinic, they also provide medical care to the local orphanage in El Hongo.
