When a Tough Class Became a New Business Idea


Recent CSUF graduates Brent Maxinoski and Cayman Elkin recently founded a company, Wecademi, using a platform that connects struggling students with tutors who have taken the same class, perhaps even from the same instructor, and excelled in it.

Working partly out of the CSUF Startup Incubator in Placentia, the two men are attempting to raise $400,000 in seed capital, interviewing for a chief technology officer and marketing the site to the campus’ student body.
