Helping Small Businesses Get Earthquake-Ready

The Orange County/Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network is expected to assist about 10,000 people this year with 420 seminars, including earthquake readiness.

Managed by Cal State Fullerton's Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, the network’s goal is to keep every business up and running after a natural disaster. 

"The focus is on helping small business owners plan how they will respond during and after an earthquake," says center director Michael Daniel. With this, he adds, "we are helping each person with an individualized plan, depending on their business and operations."
