CSUF Art Major’s Design Graces Cover of LA Opera Program

Cal State Fullerton art major Marshall Dahlin, who is studying graphic design, is the first-place winner of the L.A. Opera’s college student art contest, in support of the current production of “Salome.”

The senior won an opening-night cast dinner and $5,000 for his linocut print that depicts the heroine holding up the decapitated head of John the Baptist, his forehead planted with a red kiss.

Dahlin's artwork appears on the program cover of the L.A. Opera production of Richard Strauss’ “Salome” at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion through March 18. Continue reading in the Los Angeles Daily News.
