$1.4 Million to Expand Support for Students in Social Work

A $1.4 million grant will support Cal State Fullerton social work students who are committed to a career in the field, part of an effort to address a national need for well-trained child welfare workers.

The University of California, Berkley-based California Social Work Education Center, will grant up to $18,500 per year to students who commit to working at least two years in a child welfare agency after they graduate. After a rigorous application process they will be placed in in a specialized program in CSUF’s child welfare concentration.
