Southern California Recession? Not in the Next Two Years, Says This Forecast


Economist Anil Puri,  director of Cal State Fullerton Woods Center for Economic Analysis and Forecasting, took turns at the podium May 3 in Irvine with Mira Farka, center co-director and CSUF associate professor of economics, to look ahead at what's in store for the Southern California economy.

They predict that while there will be no recession in the next two years, the end to rapid growth was expected. Puri attributes the hiking of interest rates by the Federal Reserve, in order to temper prices hikes, to “the growing pains of a long recovery." Continue reading in the Orange County Register.
