CSUF Robotics Researcher Wins $500,000 for Assistive Technology
Students Host PR Conference, Faculty Members Contribute to Special Issue

Nina Robson, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, is the fifth CSUF faculty member to receive a $500,000 Early CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation. The reward is given to those identified as future role models and leaders in their fields. Robson plans to involve CSUF students in her research to create a multi-fingered robotic hand, while also attempting to provide opportunities for female high school students and community college transfers to experience the engineering field.
The CSUF Public Relations Student Society of America hosted 300 students from universities in the region at the “Next Generation PR” conference.
Faculty members who teach in the Asian American Studies and Human Services departments and the internship training director in Counseling and Psychological Services contributed to a special issue of Women & Therapy. Continue reading in the Orange County Register.
