Recognizing the Impact of Religion on Public Life


Benjamin J. Hubbard, professor emeritus of comparative religion, penned a commentary for the Los Angeles Times/Daily Pilot opinion section on the importance of recognizing how much religion impacts public life “in ways that please some and frustrate others.” Hubbard outlined the hope that respect will triumph over religious and political differences, and that differing sides may learn to understand the complex issues associated with each perspective.
