How and Why CSUF Students Launch Companies Before They Graduate


John Bradley Jackson, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, believes entrepreneurship students are outliers, and encourages them to “challenge existing processes and methods and products to see if we can’t make things better.”

Students in CSUF’s New Venture Creation and Funding class learn insights and opportunities involving startups. The program taps the philosophy of the “lean startup,” which seeks out market input early in the process to develop a bare-bones product that is subsequently improved upon.
