A Passion for Solving Problems Leads Student to Computer Engineering


Melissa Manzo’s college experience didn’t exactly turn out the way she expected. And it all started with a biology class.

From the time she was a young girl, Manzo dreamed of being a pediatrician. She loved kids and thought it would be a meaningful job — and a well-paying one.

She took biology and anatomy at her Eastvale high school and breezed through. When she enrolled at Cal State Fullerton as a biology major, one of her first classes was Biology 171, and she realized she was in over her head. Continue reading in the Orange County Register
