Cal State Fullerton’s Team Potty Squad was the winner at California State University, Long Beach’s 13th annual 24 Hours Animation Contest for Students.

Titans Megan LeMasurier, Ari Castleton, Victoria Gould, Tony Son and Joey Amendola made up the winning team. Their winning short is available online.

About 525 students representing 24 universities, including nine teams from Cal State Fullerton, competed to complete a 30-second film in 24 hours. Another CSUF team placed ninth in the contest.

This year’s theme for a 30-second animated film was “Imagine if Technology was Introduced at the Dawn of Humankind: What if Adam and Eve Found an Apple Computer Instead of an Apple?”

A panel of industry artists evaluated the shorts using criteria such as storytelling, art direction/animation and creativity.
