Pamella Oliver Appointed Interim AVP for Academic Programs

Pamella Oliver became interim associate vice president for academic programs July 25, serving in the absence of Peter Nwosu, who joined Georgia’s Clark Atlanta University as provost and vice president of academic affairs.

A faculty member of the Department of Child and Adolescent Studies for more than 15 years, Oliver has a strong record of teaching, research, service and leadership. She has served on the Student Success Team for the College of Health and Human Development and was selected as the college’s Outstanding Faculty Member in 2014.

In addition, Oliver has served on the Academic Senate Assessment Committee, Academic Senate University Curriculum Committee and McNair Scholars Faculty Advisory Board. She is an associate director of the Fullerton Longitudinal Study and a fellow of the Western Psychological Association.

Oliver earned her master’s degree in psychology from CSUF and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Southern California.
