Cooper Center Event July 17 Focuses on Fossils, OC’s Past

“From Dinosaurs to People: Reliving Orange County’s Past” will be presented Sunday, July 17, at the Heritage Museum of Orange County. The free family event features paleontology, archaeology, fossils and more.

Hosted by the John D. Cooper Archaeological and Paleontological Center — a partnership between Cal State Fullerton and OC Parks — the event will be held from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The event offers visitors the chance to learn about the region’s cultural and natural history, prehistoric animals and plants and Native American culture. Other activities include guided hikes, panning for gold, children’s zone and exhibits.
