Proposals Sought for April Sustainability Symposium
Feb. 29, 2016
Poster presentation proposals and entries for a student sustainability contest are being sought for the fourth annual sustainability symposium, "Campus As a Living Lab," to be held in April.
In addition to presentations and posters, the symposium will showcase current Campus as a Living Lab projects, such as:
- the "Plant Physiological Ecology" class that tests the effects of the statewide drought on trees and shrubs,
- the "Introduction to Learning and Thinking in Science and Mathematics" course in which students worked on various in-the-field projects to learn the practical applications of a science education, and
- conducting research at the California State University's Desert Studies Center.
Students are invited to enter a student sustainability contest by proposing a project, program or initiative for the campus. Entries for the contest must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, March 18.
More information about the symposium can be found on the Facilities Management website.
