Cal State Fullerton recently announced the appointment of Tami Bui as associate vice president for government and community relations in the Division of University Advancement. The appointment, made following a national search, is effective Monday, July 24.
Bui currently serves as principal manager for corporate philanthropy for Southern California Edison where she has served since 2007. During her tenure, she has served in a number of roles providing the opportunity to engage a wide set of stakeholders in all levels of government, the nonprofit sector and the business community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Irvine.
“Tami brings to Cal State Fullerton a wide range of experience and networks,” said Greg Saks, vice president for university advancement, in making the announcement June 15. “Her track record of success and collaborative leadership will help the campus achieve its many and diverse set of goals with our external communities.”
Bui succeeds Owen Holmes, who retired after serving the University for more than 30 years.
