The work of 39 art majors — all entertainment art/animation and graphic design students — will be on display July 30-Aug. 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center during SIGGRAPH 2017, the annual conference by ACM SIGGRAPH — the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques.

Cal State Fullerton’s student work will form part of the sixth annual Faculty Submitted Student Work Exhibit. The double-curated exhibit allows schools and colleges who offer degrees and courses in computer graphics and related fields the chance to showcase their best student work to the international computer graphics industry.

This is the second year that Cal State Fullerton has been accepted into the exhibition.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to be showcased at a venue seen by professionals, educators and students from around the world. This exhibit is viewed by thousands of SIGGRAPH-goers at the annual conference, then becomes a part of the permanent collection on the Education Committee’s website,” says Carol Ashley, assistant professor of art, who served as the Cal State Fullerton curator. “Not only are the images and videos displayed, but the faculty assignments are included, too. People can really see the level of work we do here at CSUF.”

The exhibit will be screened throughout the duration of the conference at the Education Committee booth.
