Gianneschi Center Co-Hosts Community Collaborations Conference

Cal State Fullerton’s Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Research joins the Fullerton Collaborative in sponsoring a spring community collaboration conference geared to those working in the nonprofit field.

Keynote Speaker:

The keynoter for the daylong program is Randy Bell, a socio-economist and CEO of Landmark Research Group LLC. Bell will discuss “Four Cornerstones of Successful Nonprofits.”

9 a.m. — North OC Collaborative Panel featuring Debra Stout, Fullerton Collaborative; Sandi Baltes, La Habra Collaborative; Carrie Buck, Placentia Collaborative; and Christina Hall, Buena Park Collaborative

10:15 a.m. — Meet the Expert: Barry Ross, vice president, healthy communities at St. Jude Medical Center, discussing collaborative grant writing

12:30 p.m. — Keynote address

2:15 p.m. — Meet Community Funding Experts: Patricia Falzon, senior director of development, Cal State Fullerton College of the Arts; Jason Lacsamana, program officer, St. Joseph Health Community Partnership; and Cathleen Otero, vice president of donor relations and programs, OC Community Foundation

Gianneschi Center:         

The center, housed in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, supports the work of Orange County’s charitable organizations by encouraging scholarly research and education in the field. The center hosts an annual Summer School for Nonprofits and underwrites an annual student fellowship in nonprofit leadership. Center director is Susan Cadwallader, associate professor of marketing.

The Fullerton Collaborative is a cooperative of executive directors, educators, activists, community service leaders and volunteers dedicated to building and supporting a healthy cohesive community.
