Campus Members Receive Accolades, Leadership Positions

Four CSUF faculty and staff members were recently recognized for service and achievements in a number of different ways. They are:

Natalie Fousekis, professor of history and director of the Lawrence de Graaf Center for Oral and Public History, was recognized with the 2018 James V. Mink Award from the Southwest Oral History Association.

Christine Latham, professor emeritus of nursing, was elected to the Association of California Nurse Leaders Board of Directors.

Patricia Perez, professor of Chicana and Chicano studies, was selected to serve as chair of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE)/Educational Testing Service Outstanding Dissertation Competition. Award winners will be announced next year at the annual AAHHE conference in Costa Mesa.

CSUF President Fram Virjee conferred the title of director emeritus of the Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Research upon Kathleen Costello, in recognition of the 25 years of service she provided to the university.
