"Coming Out" is the theme of Cal State Fullerton's annual celebration of LGBTQ History Month Reception. Held this year on National Coming Out Day, Thursday, Oct. 11, the reception will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Golleher Alumni House.

Eric Price, assistant professor of counseling, will discuss his research on the strengths, resiliency and support systems during the coming out process for LGBTQ individuals. Additionally, students and alumni have been invited to share their personal experiences of coming out.

The event is hosted by CSUF President Fram Virjee and his wife, Julie, in partnership with Diversity Initiatives and Resource Centers.

Earlier in the day, the LGBT Queer Resource Center will present a National Coming Out Day event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Quad. The campus community will have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, get connected to resources, and learn about the journeys of LGBTQ-identified students, faculty and staff members.
