Meet Sudarshan Kurwadkar, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, and recipient of numerous awards for outstanding teaching, research and mentorship to students. He directs a nearly $1.5 million National Science Foundation grant project to prepare Latinos and other underrepresented students for the STEM workforce. His research focuses on contaminants found in water and soil environments. He joined CSUF in 2014 and holds a doctorate in environmental engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
