Human Rights, Sex Crimes, Disabilities Among Topics for HSS Week

Campus Hosts Humanities and Social Sciences Week April 8-12

From social justice presentations and research symposiums to film screenings and resource fairs, 25 campus activities are scheduled for Cal State Fullerton’s annual Humanities and Social Sciences Week. Among the events planned during the week of April 8-12 are:

Monday, April 8

  • HSS Week club resource fair, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Humanities-Social Sciences Building plaza

Tuesday, April 9

  • American Studies Student Association symposium, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Titan Student Union, Tuffree AB and Bradford AB
  • 50th-anniversary celebration of the master in public administration program, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., TSU, Portola Pavilion A
  • “Visible/Invisible Disabilities” panel discussion, 3-4 p.m., TSU, Gilman AB
  • “Sustainable Development Goal #6 Clean Water and Sanitation: A Human Right That’s Key to Success” discussion, 6-8 p.m., TSU, Bradford AB

Wednesday, April 10

  • “Building Better Worlds” geography workshop, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., TSU, Ontiveros ABC
  • “Unbound,” presentation on human trafficking, 2-4 p.m., TSU, Ontiveros ABC
  • HSS Week student panel on navigating higher education, 2:30-4 p.m., TSU, Titan Theater
  • “Empowering Change: Be the Voice to Change the Culture” presentation featuring Alissa Ackerman, assistant professor of criminal justice, 4-5 p.m., Mihaylo Hall, Room 1112

Thursday, April 11
