Lauren Vu, 54, a physician at the Student Health and Counseling Center, died April 15 of cancer.
“She was a woman of great faith, strength and drive, very caring and compassionate, matching her excellence as a wonderful and bright physician,” said Grace Castillo Johnson, associate director of the Student Health and Counseling Center. “She found great joy in working at the health center seeing patients.”
Vu, who earned her medical degree at Oregon Health Sciences University, joined the campus community in June 2006, as a part-time physician, moving to full time in 2008. She is survived by her husband, Steven Do, her parents and siblings. Continue reading.
