Perrin Reid, associate vice president for human resources, diversity and inclusion, died May 5 after a brief illness.
In the little more than a year she served at Cal State Fullerton, Reid was instrumental in the recruitment of more than 97 tenure-track faculty members during the past two recruitment cycles.
“The high quality and diverse faculty hired as a result of her efforts will impact the community and students for years to come,” said Lori Gentles, vice president of human resources, diversity and inclusion. “Perrin also led the creation of a management training program for administrators throughout campus that has been well-received. She was admired and respected and will be greatly missed.”
Reid is survived by her husband, Peter, her mother, brother and sister. A memorial service for friends and family will be held 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association in Reid’s memory.
