“Strange Natures: Futurity, Empathy and the Queer Ecological Imagination,” the first book by Nicole Seymour, assistant professor of English, comparative literature and linguistics, is the winner of this year’s Ecocriticism Book Award from the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE). The judges called the book “a major contribution to the queering of ecocriticism and the greening of queer theory.”
THE ASLE awards recognize excellence in the fields of ecocriticism and environmental creative writing.
