The Fullerton Arboretum will host a California Native Habitat Plant Sale 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8, in the Potting Shed. An Arboretum members-only presale will be held 8:30-10 a.m. Nov. 7.
“This is the best time of year to consider your gardening needs, and the Arboretum’s massive inventory of native and fall plants are ready to go,” explained Arboretum’s biologist Jonathan Davis. “We will be delighted to show people how a well-maintained garden will look by visiting our wonderful native habitat within the Arboretum.”
Presentations during the event include topics on drought tolerance, wildlife habitats and how to water better instead of wetter. Visitors also can learn how to build a native habitat garden to attract butterflies, bees and birds.
The event is free and open to the public. Visitors can purchase plants in the Potting Shed and stroll through the Arboretum’s grounds to gain inspiration for their own gardens. More information is available online.
