For the first time in its 30-year history, the California State University Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association brought in a CSU Chancellor to speak at their semi-annual State Council meeting.
On Oct. 17 at the Cal State Fullerton campus, Chancellor Timothy P. White led a roundtable discussion about the role of retired faculty in campus life and the opportunity for their efforts to bolster the CSU’s Graduation Initiative 2025.
Chancellor White highlighted six CSU values – student success, benefit to the public, diversity, sustainability, California’s economy and educational quality – and the importance of collaborating and strengthening connections with retired faculty to achieve these goals. Continuing reading.
