The University’s Fullerton Jazz Orchestra, directed by Bill Cunliffe, professor of music, will perform Friday, Feb. 12, at the 16th Annual Newport Beach Jazz Party. Joining the ensemble and the Grammy Award-winning arranger and composer will be legendary vocalist Freda Payne, best known for her hit single “Band of Gold,” who is featured in the School of Music’s first album, “Sabor!”
